Studio Monarch is a book publication design studio for independent authors and organisations wishing to self-publish their own books.

Book Cover Design

We begin with your ideas. Tell me how you see the cover and what you want it to communicate. The process of consultation of cover ideas and mock-up can take some time and several layout options. It is well worth the effort as this is the first impression anyone will get of your book. I consult with your printer (or I can recommend the printer I use and provide a printing quotation for your consideration) on exact print specifications. Mock-up of spine and back cover is also completed at this stage. Upon your approval I will supply a final pdf artwork file to the printer. I will keep in close contact with both you and the printer until the job is complete.

Interior Book Design

Again, we start with your ideas. Upon receipt of your text manuscript and images in electronic form (300dpi), I will provide a visual mockup of overall design ideas and font choices. Once the overall theme design is decided upon, then I will typeset and layout all pages to print ready format. Again, upon your final approval I will supply a final artwork disk to the printer and liaise closely with both you and the printer until the job is complete.
